Dear Ukrainians!

Today – Lviv, the visit to Ukraine of the King of Sweden, an important manifestation of respect for our people, our state: His Majesty is in Ukraine for the second time since the restoration of our independence. Together with him – a government delegation, and we have many areas of cooperation with Sweden, defense first of all. We are preparing to expand our combat aviation thanks to the Gripens, we are working on this in detail.

As soon as the European package for Ukraine is unblocked, it will open up funds for such strong defense measures - both for defense now and for the periods to come. It is important that there is not even a hint of weakening Ukraine - only with this will diplomacy work over time.

Together with Sweden, we are also looking for solutions to strengthen our air defense. Number one is protection against missiles, against ballistics. We discussed these issues today. Because of the war in Iran, there are risks for the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and I thank all the partners who are ready to help and look for ways to fix this. Germany, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, now Sweden in Ukraine - this week's visits were exactly about this: so that in the spring and summer we can maintain the stability of Ukraine, the strength of Ukraine, and so that Russia is not tempted to think that the rise in oil prices and instability in the world can somehow help Russia in the war.

In fact, every day at the political level, at the military level – in communication with partners for the sake of air defense. We are looking for anti-ballistics. Most importantly, we are moving towards such conditions when we will be able to produce air defense in Ukraine and together with partners – all the necessary formats of air defense: systems, missiles, etc. This is a serious strategic task for Ukraine – a real task that will guarantee protection for decades.

Among the security guarantees that we are considering for Ukraine are weapons packages, the ability to produce the necessary weapons, and therefore licenses for this and an industrial base. These are key things.

Today I will also participate in the meeting on Hormuz: many leaders are meeting to coordinate to ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz. Now the world knows exactly where this strait is and why it is so important. And about this strait, almost the same thing is repeated as we said about the Black Sea in 22 and 23, when the Russians tried to block the Black Sea from us.

Ukraine has solved this problem. Now absolutely everyone in the world sees that maritime security is a global value, not just someone's separate problem. Security must be protected together, we hope that the conclusions of the partners from all the challenges that exist now will be strong.
