Dear Ukrainians!
Today, there are new results of our Defense Forces in long-range sanctions against Russia: the gasoline crisis in Russia is deepening, quite rightly in response to Putin’s reluctance to end this war. We have made proposals on how to bring peace closer, we have support not only among partners in the world, but also among Putin’s entourage – regarding peace. They understand what is happening and that peace has no alternative. This impression will grow in Russia. Today, our long-range strikes reached several regions of Russia itself, as well as objects in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. I thank our soldiers for their accuracy.
The operation of the Security Service of Ukraine on long-range sanctions is also going well. We will further strengthen this direction: our soldiers should have much more opportunities to reach the Russian occupiers exactly where they are waging war on Ukraine - on the territory of Russia.
Today I signed a decree on the creation of a special command within the Armed Forces - a command of long-range, in fact - global influence on Russia during this war. This command must concentrate one hundred percent of available resources in order to further significantly reduce Russia's war potential. The commander in this direction will be strong and certainly the most experienced.
The second one this day. The necessary transformation of the assault troops will be carried out. There are many issues. Problems that need to be solved. First of all, in the attitude towards people. Law enforcement agencies are taking procedural steps. There will also be changes at the level of command of the assault troops.
Today I signed a decree on the creation of the Joint Rapid Reaction Forces. This should be a new component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will combine the combat capability of assault troops, the necessary unmanned component, the necessary artillery component and other means for the most operational response at the front, and it should be a modern assault component, technological. The commander of the Joint Rapid Reaction Forces should be an experienced military, combat commander. Today I spoke with Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Voloshyn and identified him to carry out this task. Brigadier General Voloshyn, commander of the 8th Corps of the Armed Forces, is able to ensure the further development of the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction.
One more thing. It is important that Ukraine's diplomatic team acts much more actively with our partners. Every day, every day, Russian strikes continue. Kharkiv, Sumy, Konotop, Kherson, Kyiv, Kyiv region, Nikopol, other cities of our Dnipro region - Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Chornomorsk, cities of Donetsk region, our Zaporizhia. Every day, tangible steps are needed to help Ukraine's partners. Everything that we agreed on at the level of leaders must be implemented quickly. Preferably - very quickly. Every day, this result is needed. And as for relations with our neighbors in the region, there will be steps to strengthen our diplomacy. Ukraine must be heard and our Ukrainian national interests must be understood.
