Dear Ukrainians!

This is a difficult day after another massive strike. Today, rescue operations and search operations at the sites of house strikes have been ongoing in Kyiv since last night. Ordinary residential buildings and civilian enterprises were damaged the most. People are being searched for under the rubble, and all those who were injured are being identified. As of now, it is known that 21 people have died. My condolences to their families and friends. Almost a hundred people have sought help from doctors. And I want to thank everyone who arrived at the sites of the strikes and who is helping people. First of all, the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and emergency services. Thank you all! People who need it should receive the necessary assistance. It is also important that local authorities do not leave people alone with their problems. Some houses are actually completely destroyed, there are families who have lost everything they had. In total, more than a hundred ordinary residential buildings have been damaged. There were strikes not only on the capital, although Kyiv was the main target for Russia this time, but also on the Kyiv region and other regions: Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, and communities in our Dnipro region. A significant part of the Russian strike drones and cruise missiles were shot down. It is more difficult with ballistics. The strike was specially designed by the Russians to cause the greatest damage. A lot of ballistics, waves of reactive "Shaheds" and other strike drones, dozens of cruise missiles. 48 missiles and 476 drones of various types were shot down that night. Unfortunately, not all. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of anti-ballistic means, a shortage of "Patriots", and it is necessary that partners - and this is primarily the United States of America and our European partners - be more active in helping with this. Russia no longer has any other argument in favor of its war, except for its ballistics, this kind of terror. Putin is going to continue to "conquer" residential buildings in order not to end this war. And this can be dealt with both by a sufficient supply of anti-ballistic missiles and by working much faster to create his own anti-ballistic missiles in Europe.

Now, one of these days, there will be a NATO summit, other formats, and this is what should become one of the key results - air defense. If, of course, NATO still means something to the allies. Europe must have its own sufficient ability to defend itself from all types of threats, including this one - from Russian ballistics. The conversation with the American administration about licenses for the production of "Patriots" has been going on for a long time. I want to thank all the countries that help through the PURL program, and this allows us to buy air defense missiles - namely "Patriots". But in order to really reliably protect life, we need our own production. European production here, in Ukraine, or together with partners, would of course support the United States in operations when necessary. We are very much counting on a positive response from President Trump to protect lives. Thank you also to everyone who expressed sympathy for our country today, who did not remain silent, who condemned Russian terror. When Ukraine applies its long-range sanctions for this war, everyone can see that it is against specific objects that help Russia fight. First of all, against oil facilities, military production, other critical targets. Today, a Russian refinery was also hit. Our goal is to make Russia realize that peace is needed. Russia attacks in a completely different way, does it consistently, systematically and madly: it fights precisely against people, against life, precisely in such a way as to cause more pain. The world sees this. The world should not stand aside. The partners have the volumes of "Patriots", the ability to produce defense is there, and political decisions and real results in protecting life are needed.
