Two traitors to the state who switched sides to the occupiers at different times were convicted in Rivne

Prosecutors from the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office proved in court the guilt of two people in treason and collaborationism.

A 58-year-old resident of the city of Armyansk, in Crimea, after the occupation of the peninsula in 2014, she switched sides and took the position of head of staff of the "Administration of the City of Armyansk of the Republic of Crimea", a position she holds to this day, working in the interests of the occupiers.

A 37-year-old resident of the city of Siverskodonetsk in Luhansk Region took part in illegal elections to the “Council of the Siverskodonetsk Municipal District of the LPR” in September 2023, already in the midst of a full-scale invasion. In the end, he was “elected” as a deputy from the United Russia party.

The court found both traitors guilty of the crimes they were charged with. The head of the administration was sentenced to years of imprisonment with confiscation of property, and the deputy from the "LPR" - up to years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for a period of 15 years and confiscation of property.

Since the traitors are currently in territory not controlled by Ukraine, the term of their sentence will be counted from the moment of their detention.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the SBU Department in the Rivne region.
