President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the United States of America Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

The Head of State thanked President Trump for his personal efforts aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that much was discussed today about the return of Ukrainian children, and expressed special gratitude to US First Lady Melania Trump for her attention to this issue. He emphasized that he appreciates the meeting of the first ladies of Ukraine and the United States, during which the fate of Ukrainian children was discussed.

The President of Ukraine informed about the situation on the battlefield and the results of the counteroffensive operation in the area of ​​Dobropillya and Pokrovsk, thanks to which Ukrainian soldiers were able to advance 360 ​​kilometers and capture more than a thousand Russian occupiers.

"President Trump clearly understands the situation and is well informed about all aspects. We highly appreciate his determination to help end this war," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The leaders discussed several promising ideas for bringing peace closer. Ukraine expects that they will yield quick results.
