On the occasion of International Theater Day, the creative team of the Luhansk Regional Academic Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater was honored, which, despite the loss of its native stage and forced repeated relocation, continues to remain a bright center of Ukrainian theatrical art and a symbol of the invincibility of the Luhansk region.
Ukrainian theatrical art has its own unique face, reflecting the characteristic features of society's life, its aspirations, spiritual and intellectual potential. The Luhansk theater also makes a significant contribution to this process, actively promoting community cohesion, providing psychological support to residents, and preserving the cultural heritage of the region.
For the holiday, the team prepared for the audience the premiere of the play "Much Ado About Nothing" based on the work of the same name by William Shakespeare. The modernized production is filled with intrigue, funny misunderstandings, and witty verbal battles that resonated with the audience.
On behalf of the Luhansk Regional State Administration and the residents of the region, the theater team was congratulated by the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, Kateryna Bezhynska. She emphasized that the theater is not only a cultural center, but also a powerful symbol of resilience and spiritual strength, which strengthens Ukrainian identity, faith and culture. In her address, she wished the team endurance, inspiration and a speedy return to free Luhansk - with new performances, dreams and faith in the Ukrainian future.
For their significant contribution to the development and preservation of theatrical art, the Luhansk Regional State Administration awarded the highest category drama actors Tetyana Merzlyakova, Vladislav Karetnyk, Kristina Zohrabyan, the chief director Vladislav Pisarev, the head of the literary and dramaturgical department Olena Lybo, the head of the sewing shop Olena Ryzhycheva, and the chief administrator Iryna Fisenko with Honorary Certificates and Letters of Gratitude.
