The people of Luhansk celebrated the National Day of Prayer in their spiritual home, St. Cyril's Church in Kyiv.

On this day, under the vaults of the sanctuary, which for centuries has been filled with prayers and the power of faith, the people of Luhansk gathered together to turn to the Almighty in unity of hearts. They honored the bright memory of those who gave the most precious thing — their lives — for our right to live and breathe freely.

The head of the Luhansk region, Oleksiy Kharchenko, along with community leaders and representatives of the region's law enforcement agencies, participated in the joint prayer. Representatives of the Siverskodonetsk community, led by head Yevhenia Boyko, also joined the National Day of Prayer.

The service was led by the head of the administration of the Luhansk Eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Archbishop Lavrenty of Luhansk and Starobilsk.

In the sanctuary, consecrated by the prayers of many generations, a sincere plea to God resounded and confidence in God's justice was felt.
