The head of the Luhansk Oblast Regional Administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko, took part in a meeting of the Coordination Center for the Management of Regions in Which Hostilities Are (Were) Underway or Temporarily Occupied by the Russian Federation, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.
The head of the Luhansk region once again submitted for consideration by the Coordination Center the issue of introducing remote inspection of damaged facilities located in the combat zone, which would allow residents of the region to claim compensation for lost property.
"The issue that the regional state administration has been working on for several years is compensation for residents of Luhansk region for the cost of lost housing. Currently, people who have housing in the temporarily occupied territory are deprived of the opportunity to receive documentary confirmation of the fact of the destruction of their real estate and to count on receiving compensation in the future. This is unequal conditions in relation to the owners of destroyed property in the controlled territory and the territory of active hostilities," commented the position of the head of the Luhansk regional state administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko.
According to him, to resolve the issue, it is necessary to develop and adopt a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on approving the specifics of conducting a remote survey of destroyed individual categories of real estate objects located in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
Relevant proposals have been repeatedly sent to central authorities. In particular, in January of this year, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine received comments on the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On amendments to the features of conducting remote inspections of destroyed individual categories of real estate objects located in areas of possible hostilities for which the date of cessation of hostilities has not been determined, in areas of active hostilities, and areas of active hostilities in which state electronic information resources operate for which the date of cessation of hostilities has not been determined."
Therefore, Oleksiy Kharchenko emphasized the need to speed up the resolution of the issue.
