On the night of July 28-29, 2022, the Russians blew up one of the barracks of the correctional colony in Olenivka, Donetsk Region. More than 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war from Azovstal were killed and another 130 were injured.

The Russian Defense Ministry immediately announced an attack from Ukraine. However, this lie was dispelled by a UN report, as well as the Ukrainian Prosecutor General.
