The head of the Luhansk OVA, Oleksiy Kharchenko, visited the location of the units defending the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions to congratulate them on Ukrainian Statehood Day, transfer the necessary military equipment, and present awards to the Heroes.

Thus, he presented the fighters of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh with the Gorobets and DJI Matrice UAVs of various modifications from the communities of Luhansk region, and also transferred automotive equipment to increase the efficiency of performing combat missions.

Since the beginning of the year, UAH 44.1 million has been allocated from the regional budgets for the needs of the unit.

"The country relies on the strength of the front and the patriotism of the rear, so assistance to the Defense Forces is our undisputed priority," emphasized Oleksiy Kharchenko.

On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day, he awarded seven servicemen of the 53rd Motorized Rifle Brigade with the "Defender of Luhansk Region" badge of honor for their courage in repelling and deterring Russian armed aggression.
