Dear Ukrainians!
Today, hundreds of people in Kyiv, Dnipro, and other cities worked after the Russian massive strike: extinguishing fires, helping the wounded, and pulling people out of the rubble. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, police officers, municipal workers, and emergency responders - I am grateful to everyone who helps save lives after the Russian attacks. The strike was brutal - more than 70 missiles, a lot of ballistics, and more than 650 drones overnight. During the day today, the Russians continued their attacks, with about a hundred more drones. Unfortunately, the level of supply for our air defense does not currently allow us to shoot down a significant part of the missiles. There were hits. One hundred and thirty people were injured. Unfortunately, 22 people died, two children among them. My condolences to all who lost their relatives and friends.
Once again, Putin with his madness "defeated" the lives of ordinary children, apartment buildings, and a clinic in Kyiv. The "Shaheeds" were against high-rise buildings in the Dnipro and for some reason also against a car dealership with Chinese cars in Kyiv. "Zircon" against seven buildings at once. "Shaheeds" against buildings in Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Poltava regions. Strikes on Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson regions. "Shaheeds" against Khmelnytskyi region. Each of these drones, all types of Russian missiles cannot be produced without components imported from other countries. That is, in each of such strikes there is, perhaps unconsciously, but still the complicity of those who work for Russia, who provide Russia with money, who help it circumvent sanctions and look for not just one or two, but thousands of components, without which Russian military production will simply stop. Five Kalibr missiles are 145 such components. Thirty-three Iskanders are 1,122 components. Six hundred and fifty strike drones of various types are more than 17,000 components, without which it is impossible to produce them. Large-scale schemes to circumvent sanctions. And this is absolutely real complicity in murders.
Today there was a report by the GUR, in particular on Russian missile production. We are preparing additional measures of our countermeasure. We know that the Russians are extremely afraid of our Ukrainian missile capabilities. Russia marks Ukrainian companies that demonstrate progress in the development and production of all types of our missiles among its most important targets in every sense of the word. We will react. It is important that our partners also act, and act strongly enough. We need to create problems for Russia so that it is more difficult for it to ruin the lives of others. We are currently actively working in the European Union on the 21st package of sanctions, we expect that our Ukrainian proposals for sanctions will work. We need more tools to prevent the circumvention of sanctions. It is worth including this in the 21st package - exactly everything that will limit Russian military production. I am grateful to everyone who helps with this. I am also grateful to every leader, to all our partners, who did not remain silent today and condemned this Russian strike. We know from intelligence that a massive strike could happen tonight. Please, I beg you, pay attention to the alarms. All partners together, everyone in Europe needs to continue working to have missiles for our air defense, to have the necessary systems and vital intelligence and other things that help save people's lives. It is obvious that Europe needs its own anti-ballistic system - sufficient volume, sufficient strength to guarantee protection from any threat. There will be negotiations, there will be meetings that will bring this result closer. Today I approved the corresponding diplomatic schedule for June - it will be active.
