"The next tranche of 83 million hryvnias for the purchase of electronic warfare equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles for the needs of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine was approved by the Defense Council of the Luhansk region," said the head of the Luhansk OVA Oleksiy Kharchenko during a weekly briefing, and emphasized that the Luhansk region consistently supports the Ukrainian Defenders and continues to strengthen the state's defense capabilities.

Significant attention this week has been paid to supporting internally displaced persons.

The Luhansk Regional State Administration, in cooperation with the International Cooperation Department of the Federal Agency for Technical Assistance THW (Germany) and the Ukraine in the Palms Charitable Foundation, has received the first batch of generators to prepare relocated institutions for the autumn-winter period. Reserve power sources have been provided to higher education institutions in the Luhansk region, the Siverskodonetsk Multi-Profile Hospital, the modular town of the Rubizhanska community in Transcarpathia, and the needs of family-type orphanages and partially large families have been fully met.

Director of the Department of Social Protection and Support for IDPs Oksana Voloshyna visited a modular town in the village of Veresy in the Zhytomyr region, where about a hundred IDPs from Luhansk region live. She also visited the humanitarian hub of the Lysychansk community in the town of Zvyahel.

During the meetings, the current needs of residents were discussed, priority issues were identified regarding improving living conditions, informing about available support programs, and providing humanitarian assistance. All residents of the modular town received humanitarian assistance.

Separately, Oleksiy Kharchenko focused on the possibilities of providing displaced persons with housing. In particular, on local programs for compensation of the first installment under the state program "eHousing". Currently, such programs operate in 18 communities of the region. During 2025–2026, 44 internally displaced persons took advantage of them, who were paid 6.4 million UAH, in particular this year - 31 persons in the amount of 4.7 million UAH.

He also emphasized the new state experimental project to provide displaced people with housing in rural areas, which provides for state subventions to communities for the formation of temporary housing funds.

One of the priorities of the Luhansk region remains the improvement of children's health. The summer campaign continues in all relocated communities of the region.

In the Siverskodonetsk district, as of mid-July, 1,087 children have already been covered by recreation, rehabilitation and health improvement. The community has allocated more than UAH 19.4 million for the purchase of travel vouchers, and almost UAH 300,000 for transportation costs. In addition, children have free recreation at the Artek International Children's Center, undergo rehabilitation, participate in international programs, and receive financial support from local communities.

The communities of Svatyiv district are also actively organizing children's health improvement. Children rested in camps in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zakarpattia regions, participated in psychological camps, intensive training, shifts at Artek, and also went on health improvement trips in the Czech Republic, France, Slovenia, Estonia, Germany, and Moldova.

35 children from the Svativ community went to the Edelweiss tourist and health complex in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Young residents of the Aydar community also rested at the Synevyr Lake camp in Transcarpathia this summer, and later joined the national project Side by Side: United Communities by visiting the Zhydachiv community in the Lviv region.

Schoolchildren from the Chmyriv community began their summer shift at the Synevyr children's camp.

Children from Luhansk Region continue to relax in communities in Lviv, Zakarpattia, Cherkasy regions, and other regions of Ukraine as part of the "Side by Side" project.

International partners are also involved in providing psychological support to young people. Ten students from the Luhansk Regional Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training, together with students from the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum, traveled to Lithuania for psychological rehabilitation.

Targeted social support for residents of the region is also ongoing.

The Siverskodonetsk City Military Administration allocated over 473 thousand UAH in material assistance to community service members and families of the fallen Defenders.

Separately, the community launched a program to compensate for the costs of rehabilitation and rehabilitation of children with disabilities and people with disabilities since childhood, which will allow reimbursement of up to UAH 30,000 per person.

The Rubizhna City Military Administration continues to implement the program "Children are the Heart of the Community". In the next decisions, 1.2 million UAH was allocated for the physical and psychological recovery of another 120 children. In total, since the beginning of the summer, support has been approved for 710 children in the amount of 7.1 million UAH, of which most of the funds have already been paid to families.
