research into crime in Ukraine in the post-war period and ways to prevent it

The Academician V.V. Stashys Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems is conducting fundamental scientific research on the topic: “Crime in Ukraine in the Post-War Period: Criminological Forecasts and Preventive Measures.”

The purpose of the study is:

  • analysis of likely trends in crime after the end of the war;
  • identifying patterns and risks of criminal offenses;
  • development of effective measures to prevent crime in Ukraine.

Particular attention is paid to the opinions of citizens, in particular those who have experienced internal displacement as a result of Russian aggression. That is why the Institute is initiating an anonymous survey of urban residents and internally displaced persons.

The survey can be completed via Google form:

We invite residents to participate in the survey and ask them to help distribute the questionnaire among internally displaced persons.

The collected results will allow:

  • to form substantiated criminological forecasts of the state and dynamics of crime in the post-war period;
  • to identify effective areas for preventing criminal offenses;
  • prepare proposals for state policy in the field of security and law and order.
