On July 15, solemn events were held near the memorial cross on the Embankment of Ternopil Pond to mark Ukrainian Statehood Day and the 1038th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine.
The event brought together dozens of people — local residents, military personnel, government officials, police, and clergy.
IDPs from Luhansk region, who now live in Ternopil, also actively participated in this important and spiritual event.
The event began with the solemn performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. Those present honored the memory of all who gave their lives for the freedom and statehood of our country with a minute of silence. Clergymen of different confessions led a joint prayer for victory, a just peace on Ukrainian soil, and for the health of our courageous soldiers and civilians.
At the end, a ceremony of blessing water took place, which all willing participants of the event had the opportunity to collect.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the joint prayer and honoring our history and statehood!
