On Thursday, July 9, 2026, the 2nd International Trade Forum was held in Kyiv, bringing together representatives of government agencies, business, international partners, and the expert community to discuss the implementation of the Export Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, trade development, and Ukraine's integration into the single market of the European Union.

Opening the forum, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Taras Kachka emphasized that Ukrainian business has demonstrated the ability to adapt to the unprecedented challenges of a full-scale war and continues to develop despite significant destruction of production facilities and logistical constraints.

According to him, the adoption of the Export Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 is an important stage in the formation of a state policy to support exports based on practical business experience and its needs.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the development of trade, industrial policy, and production are increasingly viewed as interrelated elements of a state's economic development.

As part of the event, Taras Kachka also took part in a panel discussion "Trade Policy of Ukraine during the period of accession to the EU", dedicated to the development of foreign trade, regulatory changes for business, and prospects for the integration of the Ukrainian economy into the European economic space.

Special attention is paid to the impact of Ukraine's accession to the EU on foreign trade and access of Ukrainian companies to international markets.

Taras Kachka emphasized that European integration is also the largest economic project for Ukraine.

"We often talk about joining the European Union as a political or geopolitical decision. But for business, joining the EU is the largest economic agreement that Ukraine can conclude. The European Union is today our largest trading partner, a source of technology, investment and production cooperation. Membership opens up much broader opportunities for Ukrainian companies to integrate into European and global value chains," he emphasized.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, integration into the EU internal market creates additional opportunities for trade with member states, as well as expanding access to other international markets through the EU's network of trade agreements with countries in different regions of the world.

The forum participants discussed issues of economic diplomacy and support for exporters abroad, stimulating the production of competitive products, developing the export financing system, and international positioning of Ukrainian goods and services. The program included five thematic discussions with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian government, business, international organizations, and European partners.

The 2nd International Trade Forum was held by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
