About the situation in Luhansk region as of the morning of March 12, 2026

In Dovzhansk, private entrepreneurs are closing businesses en masse, despite reforms – in Seversko-Donetsk, garbage has not been taken out for months, the enemy was hitting our sector of the front with mortars and grenade launchers

"The Russians directed 17 drones and FPV drones towards our defenders in the Luhansk region. The enemy fired twice from mortars and also struck with automatic grenade launchers. In total, on two sectors of the front - Lymanska and Slovianska - the enemy attacked 13 times in the areas of five settlements," said the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko, commenting on the security situation over the past day.

In Dovzhansk, private entrepreneurs are closing their businesses en masse. Due to the obstacles created by the Russian occupiers, they are unable to make money from their business. Business entities are increasingly filing applications to terminate their businesses or are postponing this moment in every possible way, demonstrating zero reporting. The situation is similar in other cities of the so-called "LPR". After the closure of industrial enterprises, in particular mines, it is the turn of small businesses.

The emergence of a regional environmental operator did not save the situation. Despite announcements about replenishing the fleet of garbage collection equipment and the appearance of a certain number of containers, the cities of the occupied Luhansk region are “drowning” in garbage. In particular, in Seversko-Donetsk, household garbage at natural landfills is joined by construction waste, which contractors leave after show repairs. In some quarters of the city, special equipment has not been cleaned since September 2025 – that is, six months.
