About the situation in Luhansk region as of the morning of 05/22/2026

College students were tasked with operating on wounded Russian soldiers in the "LPR", the Russians are planning to create a tourist route to the destroyed "Azot" museum in Siverskodonetsk, the invaders struck with 19 drones in Luhansk region

"During the day, the invaders sent 19 drones to the fortifications of the Ukrainian defenders in the Luhansk region. They fired twice from artillery. Two more times - from rocket launchers. They also used mortars and automatic grenade launchers. On the Lymansk sector of the front, the enemy attacked near four settlements yesterday," said the head of the Luhansk region, Oleksiy Kharchenko.

Medical students from the Altai College were sent for a month to military hospitals located in the so-called "LPR". There they were supposed to correct the staffing situation with a shortage of doctors. Speaking about the amount of work that had to be done, the students emphasized the scale of the losses of the Russian military. Every day, the interns performed 12 surgical interventions.

The invaders have proposed including Siverskodonetsk in a cultural and educational tourist route. According to the Russians' plans, it should include the People's Museum of the History of the Azot Association. The only problem is that in 2022, the Russians themselves targeted the building where the museum was located. The building burned down completely and they did not restore it. However, the occupiers are confident that they are creating a "diversified offer in the field of tourism and hospitality."
