About the situation in Luhansk region as of the morning of 04/15/2026

The number of those wishing to do so is not increasing – the invaders are again planning to extend the period for re-registration of housing in the “LPR” until 2028, internet providers in the occupied Luhansk region are being forced to cooperate with the Russian security forces, the enemy has struck with mortars and artillery in our region

"The Russians carried out 16 assault operations in the Lyman and Sloviansk directions over the past day. They tried to advance near seven settlements. In Luhansk region, the enemy struck 11 times with mortars. Five times they used grenade launchers. Twice - with artillery. In six cases, the enemy's combat missions were carried out by drones," informed the head of the regional military administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko.

The invaders are again going to extend the period for re-registration of housing in the so-called “LPR”. At the end of 2025, they decided to reduce by one and a half years the period according to which citizens are allowed to re-register real estate under Russian law without the threat of being left without housing. All procedures had to be completed by July 1, 2026. However, the reduction in the period did not contribute to the growth of those wishing to come to the occupation, obtain a Russian passport and carry out property transactions. Therefore, now the Russians again want to return to the previously established deadlines - to allow the relevant transactions until 2028.

Internet providers remaining in the occupied territory of Luhansk Region are being forced to cooperate with Russian security forces. In exchange for a paid license, they are connected to the SORM-2 Internet traffic monitoring system. Service providers are required to install this equipment at their own expense, which allows security forces to look into almost every home.
