Dear Ukrainians!
Today there was a report from the Commander-in-Chief, and also from the Security Service of Ukraine regarding Ukrainian deep strikes in response to Russian shelling. We are preparing our steps, new steps. We spoke in detail with the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the diplomatic team about the events in September. A lot is planned, and all the meetings, all our negotiations should be felt here, in Ukraine, and in our defense capabilities, and additional energy packages for Ukraine. At the political level, we already have quite specific agreements with the leaders, and this needs to be implemented at the levels between the ministries of our countries, between enterprises. This applies to Canada, to the European Union, Britain, Norway, the United States. We have significant agreements with France, there are with Britain, and there are with Germany, with our other key partners. We need a clear audit of what has already been achieved at the political level, but has not yet been implemented in practice. Each ministry should have a report on this, and this also applies to state-owned companies, primarily energy companies. Support must be mobilized as much as possible before winter. Today there is also a decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the resilience plans of regions and communities. The National Security and Defense Council analyzes absolutely clearly which tasks are not being completed on time by which regions and cities, and for each such direction there are clear requirements of the National Security and Defense Council on what must be done.
I just spoke with representatives of the President of America – Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. They are preparing for meetings and appropriate communication with the Russian side. And for a visit to Ukraine. We discussed our positions. I informed Steve and Jared about the change in the situation here, in Ukraine, – on the front and with Russian attacks. We discussed what can be done to encourage Russia to take a course to end the war. It is necessary that the mood be appropriate in Moscow, in Putin, – the mood to end, not to fight. Right now, unfortunately, all the intelligence evidence – both ours and our partners’, – all the signals from Russia are such that the Russian leader personally wants more war. Even when the absolute majority of his, by the way, society would agree to stop the war along the contact line. We will see what the representatives of the President of America will succeed in. September can change a lot, and we need to do everything together with our partners to protect people, to protect life and for peace. I want to thank everyone who is with Ukraine! I thank everyone who is helping!
Glory to Ukraine!
