The second visit to the Forest Cottage is complete! Large families from our community came to our rehabilitation and social cohesion center to regain strength, take a break from daily worries, and give their children a peaceful summer relaxation.

The children got not just a rest, but a real opportunity to be children — without the worries and concerns that accompany all of us in this difficult time. And the parents — an opportunity to breathe a little, gain strength and see that the community of Siverskodonetsk, despite the occupation of their hometown, remains alive and united. We hope that during these two weeks the families managed to truly feel at home.

The experience of uniting with the neighboring community of Kamiansky was especially warm - the local residents showed true hospitality. Employees of the CU "Center for Providing Social Services" of the Kamiansky Village Council helped us organize quests, master classes and other entertainment for children and parents. And most importantly, our children got to know the children of Kamiansky. This is a small but very telling illustration of how Ukrainian communities stick together and support each other.

We are grateful to the second shift for their trust, openness, and honest feedback — it is thanks to you that the Forest Cottage will become more and more comfortable and convenient for everyone. We see how much work is still ahead: landscaping the territory, new spaces for recreation, more opportunities for the community. We are happy that our "second home" in Transcarpathia is really working and uniting the people of Siverskodonetsk, wherever they are now. Ahead are new guests, new stories, and new warm memories that we will create together for our community.
