If Ukraine received licenses from America to produce "Patriots", our production would be enough to protect Ukraine and help partners in need - President's address

Dear Ukrainians!

Now the work is still ongoing after the Russian strike. The strike was brutal: only 68 missiles, a lot of ballistics. More than 350 drones of various types, including jet "Shaheeds". The Russian tactics are unchanged: as much pain and damage to Ukrainians and Ukraine as possible. The percentage of shooting down "Shaheeds" is high - 92, and the results of the downing of cruise missiles are also serious. I am grateful to our aviation, mobile fire groups and anti-aircraft missile troops. Six "Calibers" out of six were destroyed, and 31 out of 33 cruise missiles were shot down today. That is, when there are appropriate means of protection, our soldiers demonstrate a truly high result of shooting down. And this alone explains the problem with ballistics: there are not enough means of protection. This especially applies to missiles for "Patriots". We have proven to all partners both the need and, most importantly, the opportunity to provide more protection for life. It is simply nonsense that in the modern world, production is not yet established, not as well established as it really needs to be to protect people from ballistic terror. We have long applied and proved that we can produce, in particular, such a range of defensive weapons, and if Ukraine received licenses from America to produce "Patriots", our production would be enough to protect Ukraine and to help partners who need it. We are in communication with everyone in the world who can help with missiles now. This is our first priority. And this is Russia's last argument, how and how to drag out this war. It is on ballistics that Russia is betting, and the bet of those who want peace should be on protection from ballistics.

With this massive strike alone, the Russians killed 22 people. My condolences to all relatives and friends. As of now, these are the data. Almost 90 more people were injured. The main target for Russia this time was Kyiv and the region. Again, Putin "defeated" ordinary residential buildings. The situation is difficult in Vyshneve near Kyiv due to a secondary detonation. Today, starting at night, practically every half hour, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko has been reporting on the rescue operation and clearing the rubble, extinguishing the fires. I expect the Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence to provide a detailed explanation of what happened in Vyshneve. We also spoke with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The Cabinet of Ministers will provide funds from the reserve fund to help the Vyshneve community: such consequences that the community's own forces will not be enough. I thank all community leaders, every Ukrainian business, all civic leaders, and our partners who help people and do not leave without support those who have suffered due to Russian strikes.

We also expect that the summit now in Ankara – the summit of the most powerful Euro-Atlantic states – will not be empty. And that our protection of life, our security cooperation, and our defense capabilities here, in Europe, and with America, will become greater thanks to joint work and joint decisions. Decisions are needed. I also thank those leaders who did not remain silent today and condemned Russian terror.

We continue to respond quite rightly to Russia's strikes - we are implementing the long-range sanctions plan accurately and effectively, everyone in the world is noting this. Today, our Ukrainian long-range sanctions have reached the Omsk oil refinery - almost 2.5 thousand kilometers from Ukraine - the updated Fire Point drones. Now Siberia is also within reach of Ukrainian accuracy. A tangible loss for the Russian oil economy and an important result for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I also want to thank the Security Service of Ukraine, our intelligence and the SBS: there are also hits on the Yaroslavl oil refinery and other oil facilities on Russian territory and on the territory occupied by Russians. Medium-range sanctions are also working. The Russians will feel even more that this war must be ended. Peace is needed, and Putin must accept that peace is a blessing, not a catastrophe, as he thinks. I thank everyone who helps us, Ukraine! I thank everyone who cares about our people. Eternal memory to all victims of Russian terror.

Glory to Ukraine!
