Participated in the defense of Siverskodonetsk and Lysychansk: our compatriot Ivan Bilyanskyi died

Today would have been the 59th birthday of our compatriot Ivan Bilyansky...

Junior Sergeant Ivan Ivanovich Bilyansky, call sign "Fifteenth", died on May 19, 2026.

In the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, he voluntarily stood up for the defense of Ukraine: he joined the 42nd Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade and participated in the defense of Siverskodonetsk and Lysychansk.

He served as a mortarman during the defense of Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, and Chasovy Yar in the Donetsk region, and later as the commander of a mortar crew in the Kharkiv region, in the Vovchansk area.

In May 2023, he was awarded the "Born in Battle" badge of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshevy Ataman Kostya Hordienko for conscientious performance of official duties and dedication in defending the Motherland.

Throughout his journey, he was wounded and after treatment, he would always return to the ranks.

During the war, he mastered the military specialties of electronic warfare operator and radio communications operator.

He died while performing a combat mission near the village of Bugaivka, Vovchansky district, Kharkiv region.

The Siverskodonetsk community bows its heads in deep sorrow and expresses its condolences to the family, loved ones, friends, and brothers and sisters of the Defender.

A bright memory to the warrior who defended Ukraine until his last breath. Eternal glory to the Hero!
