Communities should pay special attention to protecting people and critical infrastructure, Volodymyr Zelenskyy participated in the work of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities
The event discussed topical issues of domestic and foreign policy.
The Head of State noted that the Ukrainian team is currently finalizing security guarantees, in particular regarding financing the Ukrainian army after the end of the war and obtaining the necessary air defense systems.
The President also spoke about agreements with the countries of the Middle East and the Gulf region. Ukraine is ready to share its experience in protecting against air threats and attacks on critical infrastructure, actively cooperate in the defense sector, and at the same time expects assistance in strengthening its energy security.
Regarding the Congress agenda, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that one of the main priorities is preparation for the next winter and the implementation of resilience plans prepared by all Ukrainian regions.
He called on all communities to pay special attention to protecting people and critical infrastructure. The Head of State emphasized that it is important that the country weathered this difficult winter with dignity.
Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Parliament has adopted decisions necessary to ensure macro-financial stability, promote European integration, and fulfill Ukraine's obligations to partners. Preparations are underway for important international meetings that should strengthen defense and financial support for our country.
"I have repeatedly seen for myself and heard many opinions regarding the acceleration of the decision-making process by our Parliamentarians and Government Members after the introduction of the structure of the work of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. The position of communities and regional authorities is not only heard, but also listened to. Local opinions are taken into account when adopting reforms and shaping the budget process. So today, each of those present offline and online had the opportunity to provide suggestions or ask questions regarding the solution of existing problems to the Head of State, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada - quickly, effectively, in a modern way, without unnecessary expectations," assured the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kharchenko following the meeting.
