There are signals that exchanges may continue, and this would be good news and confirmation that diplomacy works - President's address

I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!

Today was the report of our negotiating team – the second day of meetings in America with representatives of the President of the United States. In fact, two days of meetings: yesterday afternoon and evening, today too. It is clear that the attention of the American side at this time is primarily the situation around Iran and in that region, but this war of Russia against Ukraine must also be ended. This is perceived equally by everyone in the world, and I am very grateful to the American society for its clear support for a normal, decent peace for Ukraine. It is important that the aggressor does not have a reward for this war. And it is important that we are not all forced to return to war in months or years, that is, that the security guarantees for Ukraine and all of Europe are sufficient for peace – for a reliable peace. I expect that after the return of our negotiating team to Ukraine, we will discuss in detail all aspects of the meetings that so far – by phone – cannot be safely discussed. There are signals that the exchanges may continue, and that would be really good news and confirmation that diplomacy works. We hope that it will work out.

In general, the situation remains quite transparent: Putin does not want to end the war. But the main thing is that the world wants it. We must all do everything possible together and will continue to do everything possible to end the war.

There was also a report today by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Gnatov. In detail - on all parts of the front. In some areas, the Russians have noticeably become more active these days, taking advantage of the weather, and there have been more assaults. But this also means more Russian losses. In this week alone, more than 8 thousand occupiers have been killed and seriously wounded. There were also mechanized assaults. Our drones work well, and the positions of our army are strong. I thank every one of our soldiers, sergeants and officers, every brigade for the results for Ukraine.

And I would like to separately mention all our sky defenders - this is our daily, constant priority. Especially for this week, the soldiers of the 96th Anti-Aircraft Missile Kyiv Brigade, all our electronic warfare units, army helicopter crews and, of course, our F-16 and Mirages pilots and every interceptor drone crew deserve our gratitude, and especially the crews of the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment and the 302nd Anti-Aircraft Missile Kharkiv Brigade. Thank you, soldiers! Thank you for the fact that the Ukrainian experience of protecting the sky is one of the strongest in the world and is, in particular, what will definitely keep Ukraine among the main contributors to security after this war - among those who will be needed by the world for security. Only with Ukraine is real stability possible here, in Europe, real protection. And, as we see, also in other parts of the world, which obviously need our experience and our support in protecting life. We are already working with the Gulf countries and practically every day at the command level we contact these countries so that our experience and our support can grow into long-term cooperation and respect for Ukraine, for our soldiers. There are already concrete results of our units in protection – we provide our expertise and our real support. And it is worth it for other countries of the world to also make their contribution to stabilization. And we know from intelligence how this is currently irritating Russia, that the world needs Ukrainians and that Ukrainians can help stabilize. We all in the world need joint decisions, joint work, so that there is more security for everyone. Thank you to everyone who adds coordination and joint results. This is what is most unacceptable for people like Russia – when the countries of the world are not alone and when the peoples are not left alone with the occupier. Thank you to everyone who is with us, who is with Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!
