On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the Golden Star to the Heroes of Ukraine and presented the awards to the families of the fallen Heroes.

The title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the award of the Order of the Gold Star (posthumously) was awarded to Kyrylo Zibrov in accordance with the Decree of the Head of State No. 1014/2025 of December 30, 2025.

Kyrylo is the deputy platoon commander of the special forces police regiment of the special forces police department "Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Lyut", police lieutenant.

Kyrylo was born on December 20, 1999 in Siverskodonetsk. He studied at the current Gymnasium No. 11. He graduated from the Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.O. Didorenko. In 2024 he completed his master's degree at this university. At the same time as studying, he worked as a taxi driver and a builder.

I studied gong fu at Gymnasium No. 20.

"He was a good man, studied and worked to help me and my beloved grandmother," says the mother of the deceased Defender, Natalya Nikolaevna.

He died near the city of Toretsk while performing a combat mission.

During another intense shelling, without letting go of the drone control panel, he covered a wounded police colleague with himself, saving his life at the cost of his own. The Hero's body was only evacuated three days later during a difficult rotation.

Kirill is survived by his mother and grandmother.

Buried in the city of Dnipro at the Krasnopil cemetery.
