I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!
We are planning our foreign policy activity for the second half of September - October. The priorities are obvious: air defense and the full implementation of the decisions of the Ramstein meeting, which took place recently, and our agreements with partners that we had in Washington and Paris. Before winter, we must fulfill one hundred percent every agreement on the supply of air defense systems, missiles for them, as well as procurement contracts. Finances for drones - so that our production potential is filled. We are working with partners on finances for the army in general - we see by country which partners will make their contribution. There is still much to work on. Today there was a report by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal - what we have to do. On Friday, I expect all the details, key calculations and a report on decisions. Subjectively - with the PURL program, which allows us to purchase American weapons. More than 2 billion dollars are already in the program, another one and a half billion have been announced. We are waiting for these revenues and, accordingly, supplies. And a lot depends on partners - good dynamics with Europe, we expect decisions from the United States of America. In particular, regarding the "Patriots" - this is very important. We have offered America to buy the necessary number of systems. Our proposal regarding drones is also on the table. We have given partners serious opportunities not only to invest in production in Ukraine - and our drones are really proving their effectiveness - but we are also preparing the development of industrial complexes on the territory of partners. These are our joint productions with them. For the first time in history, Ukraine will have modern joint arms productions with strong countries. Denmark is one of the leaders, but there are also projects that we are preparing in other countries of Northern Europe. Work is also ongoing with our Baltic friends and with the countries of Western Europe. And these are, in particular, the Netherlands, this is Germany, this is Britain. We also count on expanding this line of cooperation, and I thank all partners who work not just in the “today for tomorrow” mode, but also for the future. These are all long-term partnerships. We all see that Russia is not going to reduce its military machine, does not want to stop it, and is building further aggressive plans. Only a strong and common potential of Europe – in alliance with America, with other partners of our continent – can be a reliable defense. We are also planning an active week of our diplomacy on the UN General Assembly site, and it is important that this week gives an impetus to diplomacy. Now – a week before the General Assembly – President Trump will be in Europe. Our work with the leaders of European countries is continuing very actively, so that we are all coordinated and truly reach decisions to put pressure on Russia – decisions that will have to be made anyway. And if there is no truly tangible response from the world to Russia's protracted war, if sanctions and tariffs are postponed, if the Russian army launches drones with impunity even over Poland, Putin will continue to perceive this as permission to fight. I want to thank the partners who are in strong positions, who are reacting, not waiting. We must act. Thank you to everyone who is with Ukraine! Thank you to all our people!
Glory to Ukraine!
