The President and First Lady honored the memory of Ukrainians killed by Russian occupiers in Bucha

On the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Bucha from Russian occupiers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska honored the memory of Ukrainians who were killed and tortured by Russian invaders in February - March 2022.

Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky installed lamps at the memorial located on the territory of the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All Saints of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The memory of the fallen Ukrainians was also honored by the leaders and representatives of the parliaments of Austria, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, the European Parliament, and the parliamentary assemblies of NATO and OSCE.

The residents of Bucha also placed lamps at the memorial. The President and First Lady spoke with them and expressed their condolences for the loss of their relatives and loved ones.

Russian invaders occupied Bucha for 33 days: from February 27 to March 31, 2022. During this time, 561 civilians died, including 12 children.
