Alexander Voronkin, with the call sign "Voron", began his military career even before the full-scale invasion. He served in the airborne assault troops, made parachute jumps. Later, he served as part of the 14th separate mechanized brigade. In December 2021, he was called up for military service under a contract. Since 2023, he has continued his service as part of the 3rd separate assault brigade.

He served as a driver-mechanic of the 2nd reconnaissance detachment, 3rd reconnaissance platoon, 1st reconnaissance battalion. He had the status of a participant in hostilities.

For his courage, dedication and loyalty to Ukraine, he was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Order "For a Life Saved", the Iron Cross, and the medal "For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine".

Outside of duty, Alexander was a man of strong character, courageous and purposeful. His greatest passion was diving and spearfishing. He loved life, was not afraid of difficulties and always moved forward.

On May 28, 2026, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Borivska Andriyivka, Izyumsky District, Kharkiv Region, Oleksandr gave his life for Ukraine.

In the memory of his mother, family, friends, and brothers, he will forever remain a courageous warrior, a reliable comrade, and a man with a big heart.
