As part of the project "Responsible Business Conduct and Sustainable Reconstruction in Ukraine: The Role of Swedish Actors", which is implemented with the financial support of the Swedish Institute and whose partners are the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the NGO "Social Action Center", the Yaroslav Mudry National Law University and the Swedish NGO Swedwatch, a call for participation in the one-day workshop "Responsible Business Conduct as a Prerequisite for Recovery and European Integration: Tools for Local NGOs" has been announced for representatives of local NGOs that work with communities, local authorities or businesses and are involved in reconstruction processes, or plan such work in the future.
The event will be held offline on April 23, 2026, in Kyiv (the location and exact time will be communicated to selected participants) . Participation in the event is free of charge , the organizers will reimburse the cost of travel (1st class train or bus). Participation in the workshop involves competitive selection. The workshop will address issues such as what responsible business conduct (RBC) is; how international standards in the field of business and human rights work; what is human resource due diligence (HRDD) and how it is applied in reconstruction; what risks arise in construction, energy, IT and other sectors of the economy; how civil society organizations can use sectoral recommendations as a practical tool at the local level (participants receive sectoral recommendations).
Representatives of public organizations working at the community, district or regional level, interacting with local authorities and interested in the topics of European integration, transparency and human rights are invited to participate in the workshop.
