Dear Ukrainians!
Today there were very cynical Russian strikes on Zaporizhia and the Dnieper. In Zaporizhia, there is actually a hunt for civilian objects, for ordinary transport. The Russians are attacking life itself with FPV drone strikes and other types of drones. There was a strike on an ordinary minibus, one of the strikes fell next to a city bus. Unfortunately, there are dead people. Many injured. There was also a cruel, absolutely senseless Russian strike on the Dnieper. An ordinary enterprise - civilian production. People died. More than two dozen people were injured. Also - Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk region, Sumy region. My condolences to everyone who lost relatives and friends due to such strikes. Russia continues its terrorist war against Ukraine, against Ukrainians. Of course, we will respond to Russia quite fairly for all these strikes. And we do it in such a way that the system of the Russian state and Russia's ability to drag out the war suffer first of all.
Putin can talk as much as he wants on TV that he supposedly controls everything, that there is gasoline, and that Russian ministers are supposedly competent enough. But the Russians themselves, in the queues for gasoline in various regions of Russia, can really see that this "three-day war" of theirs has been going on for five years, so much so that even the oil state, the "gas station," as Russia was called, is now running out of gasoline. This is a direct consequence of the war. One of the consequences. And one of the examples of how Ukraine is responding. Aptly. Not terroristically. We are returning the reality of war to Russia and making it as difficult as possible for it to continue occupying our land. Our Ukrainian long-range sanctions plan is being implemented, and medium-range sanctions are also being implemented. We discuss everything in detail with military commanders, with the Security Service of Ukraine, with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and our intelligence, we constantly discuss, promptly reacting to the real situation – we adjust our long-range work, our medium-range activity. We provide Ukraine with the results it needs so that the aggressor state cannot wage war “somewhere out there”. Anyone who seeks to destroy the lives of another people suffers himself. We protect life.
Daily reports on the situation at the front are a must. I want to thank all combat brigades, each of our units, who are carrying out tasks and protecting Ukrainian positions. This is very important. Especially in the Donetsk region, where the most Russian assaults have taken place. But it is enough to say just one fact: since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian army has already been given 15 deadlines for capturing our Donetsk region. Russia's political leadership is constantly dreaming about Donbas. They have already had this delusion 15 times - as if they would completely capture Donbas. In the 22nd year, there were deadlines until March 31, then until May 9, then until June 1, until September 15, until December 31. In the 23rd year, Putin set two other deadlines for capturing Donbas: until March 1, and then - when it didn't work out again, it was postponed to December 31. The twenty-fourth year - again these two deadlines. In the 25th year, when the Russians tried to convince President Trump that Ukraine would supposedly fall, there were already three deadlines - deadlines for capturing the Donetsk region, namely: by September 1, by December 1, and by December 25. And already this year, the Russians again postponed the date of capturing the Donetsk region. First, they had until March 31 of this year, then by September 1, and now there is a deadline - until December 31. If Russia does not end its war, then they will have to postpone this deadline again. If Putin wants to send another million of his soldiers to continue fighting against this wall, then the million of these Russians who have not yet been mobilized into the Russian army and are arguing in lines for gasoline should think about what awaits them next. We have already made all the proposals to end this war, and Russia refuses every time. The day before, Russia again expressed a clear desire to fight. So, we need as many obstacles as possible to the desire to continue fighting.
This week and the following weeks we will work with partners – there are things that should be done to bring peace closer. There will be an active international schedule. We very much look forward to a positive response from the Group of Seven to our requests, as well as from the participants of the Coalition of the Willing. June-July should be productive for Ukraine, first of all, for our common desire to guarantee security. Peace is needed. I thank everyone who helps us defend Ukraine, I thank each and every one who provides strength to our state and does not forget to take care of those who are nearby.
Glory to Ukraine!
