Dear Ukrainians!
The main thing for today. We are working with all our partners on air defense for Ukraine - it is clear that this is the first priority. The day before yesterday we spoke with the President of France, with the Prime Minister of Norway, today I spoke with the President of Finland, our diplomatic team is focused on this. And anti-ballistic missiles are currently a global deficit due to the war with Iran. But we need to, we need to look for options.
At the front, our positions are stronger: thanks to the courage of our people, thanks to drones, our various technological solutions and middle strikes, and our long-range sanctions, we have succeeded, we have managed to stabilize the front. Everything is not easy. We are actively defending ourselves, this year we have greater results than before. It is especially pleasant when this is clearly confirmed, including by the whining of the so-called Russian "warriors."
Regarding the protection of the sky, we are talking to all partners about this. Unfortunately, there has been no progress for a long time with America on expanding the production of anti-ballistic missiles. We are trying to accelerate this work in Europe - on the production of our own anti-ballistic missiles on the continent in sufficient quantities. I want to thank Emmanuel, I want to thank all the partners who are ready to accelerate this work with us. We will continue to talk to America about their capabilities to support Ukraine, our protection of life here and our ability to then help protect the lives of other nations - those who really need it. The PURL program is working, we are grateful for it. Europe is helping us financially. But the leadership of the United States is also very necessary. It is very, very important to say about this today.
Today in America is Memorial Day, a day of national respect for each and every one who defended America and freedom in military uniform. Without the United States, European freedom simply would not exist, and the 20th century proved this absolutely clearly. And now Russia is waging a full-scale war not only against Ukraine, but also against the very format of such a Europe - a free, democratic, united Europe. It is precisely Euro-Atlantic unity that was and is the basis of the economic and, in many ways, social development of the world after World War II. Now, without America, it is also difficult for everyone. Ukraine is grateful to the United States for its support for our defense. We are grateful to the American experience that helped us, and we are ready to share our security and technological experience, proven by this war, for cooperation with America. We have offered all this to Washington. It is very important that there are results. The same goes for diplomacy. We expect new diplomatic measures with representatives of the President of the United States of America, and we will also work more actively with American society at various levels: from Congress to public leaders. This war must be ended, and it must be done with dignity. Of course, the role of America, which Russia fears, is not just words - the role of America must and can truly be a leader.
One more thing.
We spoke today with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and with the deputies of the monomajority. We discussed the priorities for these weeks, for the near future. I thank everyone in the government, I thank everyone in parliament, in regional and local authorities, in communities, who really work for the sake of Ukrainians and for their state. We have one Ukraine.
Thank you to everyone who fights for Ukrainian interests, as if for themselves.
Glory to Ukraine!
