Oleksandr was born on January 5, 1985 in Siverskodonetsk, Luhansk Region. He began his career in the capital's law enforcement agencies in 2012: he worked his way up from a patrol inspector to a senior operative at the Holosiivskyi Police Department. For 14 years, he faithfully served the Ukrainian people, setting an example of honor, true professionalism, and responsibility.

In 2024, Oleksandr joined the special forces (rifle) regiment of the Kyiv police and went to the front lines to defend our country from the occupiers with weapons in hand.

Oleksandr Hordiychuk, commander of platoon No. 1, company No. 3, special forces police regiment (rifle) of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, died on July 14, 2026 due to a serious illness.
