21-year-old Junior Sergeant Danylo Kalinich, call sign Hans, died on February 25, 2023 in a hospital in Uzhhorod as a result of serious injuries received while defending Ukraine.

On October 26, 2022, in Luhansk Region, a soldier in an armored personnel carrier was blown up by an enemy anti-tank mine. He was operated on and treated in several hospitals. However, the soldier's heart stopped.

Born in Siverskodonetsk. He received the profession of an electric and gas welder at the local vocational school No. 24. But he always dreamed of serving in the airborne assault troops, so after graduating in 2020 he went to serve under a contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In his free time, he was fond of boxing.

When the full-scale Russian invasion began, Danylo served in the 90th separate airmobile battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Ivan Zubkov, which is part of the 81st brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the defense of the Kharkiv region. He received concussions several times, but each time he returned to the front line. And already in the Luhansk region, the young fighter took on the last battle.

After several complex operations in Dnipro and Kyiv, he was transferred to a hospital in Uzhgorod. Danylo had big plans for his future life. He dreamed of recovering and returning to his brothers as soon as possible. However, that was not to be.
He died from shrapnel wounds in a hospital in Uzhhorod as a result of an anti-tank mine explosion near the village of Bilohorivka.
