Today, the "Guardian of Generations" collective "Siverskodonetsk City Palace of Culture" is a unique community that has become a haven for creative souls from all over Ukraine. Under the wise guidance of the leader Iryna Koreva, the collective has turned into a real cultural fortress. It has united in its circle not only indigenous Siverskodonetsk residents, but also resettled craftsmen from Lysychansk, indomitable Kherson, heroic Donetsk region and hospitable Dnieper. Despite the fact that the war scattered people across the country, they found a common language through needle, thread and traditional crafts.

"It is very symbolic that the defense of the title takes place in this year, which, at the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, was declared the Year of National Identity," emphasized the deputy head of the Siverskodonetsk CMA, Tetyana Stekhina. "The Guardian of Generations" today is living proof that Ukrainian identity cannot be destroyed."

The creative exam was taken by a highly qualified regional certification commission, which includes the management of the Lugansk regional center of folk art , the Siverskodonetsk Art School , and the Rubizhansk City Children's School of Arts .

Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Deputy Director of the Luhansk Regional Center of Folk Art Iryna Dyachuk noted that this is the first such precedent when, after a full-scale invasion, a creative team initiated the defense of the title.

The experts studied each stand in detail, delving into the technique and symbolism of the products. The commission noted the incredible depth of artistic content and authenticity preserved in each stitch.

Each craftswoman spoke about herself and her path to creativity. Some of the needlewomen admitted that before joining the team they had mastered one creative technique, but today they present a variety of products.

The defense of the title was made even more authentic by the performances of the vocal group "Suzirya".

The final chord of the event was a touching and inspiring master class on making Easter eggs. We would like to remind you that the team is also a participant in the World Record for writing a virtual "Pysanka of Unity".

According to the official protocol, the commission unanimously recommended awarding the collective the honorary title "People's".
