Individuals, organizations, businesses and communities can apply to participate in the competition. Cases will be considered by an independent expert jury, and the final list of laureates will be approved by the Supervisory Board. The names of the laureates will be announced on November 20, 2026 during a solemn ceremony in Kyiv.
"Changes in the system of care and support for children are not reports or numbers. They are people. Those who care about children and families create new opportunities for their support in their communities. Each case has its own story and the solutions are different every time, but at the heart of each are the interests of a particular child. This is the daily work of those who care, and it is they who we want to see among the nominees," noted Iryna Tulyakova . Head of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Child Care.
The organizers have recorded a detailed video with step-by-step instructions: who can apply for the award, in which nominations, and how to do it correctly. You can talk about your own work or about those whose efforts you think deserve recognition.
“When a child grows up in a loving family environment, they have the best chance to realize their potential. That is why it is so important to recognize the people, communities and organizations that work to ensure that every child in Ukraine can grow up in a family, and that families receive the support they need. This award is a reminder that the right of a child to a family becomes a reality thanks to the daily decisions and actions of thousands of people across the country,” said Shamiza Abdullah, Acting Head of UNICEF in Ukraine.
