A student of the Seversk-Donetsk Lyceum "Kolegium" is among the winners of the 26th International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk

2026 became the year of the long-awaited triumph for Luhansk Region at the Petro Jacyk International Ukrainian Language Competition.

The best result in over 10 years of participation by students from our region!

29 young linguists from Luhansk region – winners of the regional stage among students in grades 3–11 of general secondary education institutions, as well as applicants for professional, specialized pre-higher and higher education – joined the final stage of the 26th competition together with participants from all over Ukraine and the world.

According to the results of the final stage, four representatives of the Luhansk region won prizes among 796 participants. Among the winners:

2nd place – Polina Syrotenko, 5th grade student of the lyceum “Collegium” in the city of Severskodonetsk, Luhansk region (teacher – Larysa Zhelobytska).

Siverskodonetsk students also entered the top ten linguists of Ukraine. These are:

Igor Korobets, 10th grade student of the multidisciplinary lyceum of the city of Severskodonetsk – 4th place (teacher – Tetyana Marysnyak);

Zlata Kiyashko, 8th grade student of the multidisciplinary lyceum of the city of Siverskodonetsk – 5th place (teacher – Olga Malyshko);
