Alkhimov Denis Yurievich was born in Siverskodonetsk, Luhansk region. From early childhood he was distinguished by excellent academic achievements and exceptional moral qualities. Raised in a military family, Denis from an early age had a deep sense of duty to his homeland. Therefore, after completing his studies, he chose the military path and entered service in the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3035).

Denys was a fair and honest officer who could always be trusted. During his service, he received numerous awards, including the Cossack Cross , in recognition of his devotion to Ukraine and the defense of its borders.

On December 30, 2022 , while performing a combat mission in the area of ​​the settlement of Kuzmyne, Luhansk region, Denis showed true heroism. Rescuing a wounded comrade from the battlefield, he without hesitation rushed into the shelled area to take his soldier to a safe distance. His vehicle was hit by fire from a tank, and as a result, Denis died. However, his feat and selflessness became an example of true heroism.

He was posthumously awarded the rank of major.

Denis Alkhimov left behind an indelible memory and a deep mark in the hearts of his family, friends, and fellow citizens. He will forever remain a hero who gave his life for his homeland and for those he loved and protected.
